Lot 310: A Pair of Contemporary Silver Tone Quartz Wall Clocks

This auction ended on September 30, 2026.

Start price: £5

Estimated price: £5 - £16

Buyer's Premium: 20%

Sold for: £6

This lot comprises two matching contemporary wall clocks, each featuring a quartz movement. The clocks are constructed with polished silver-tone frames, possibly metallic-finished plastic, and clear covers. Each white dial is decorated with raised silver-tone Arabic numerals, where the 12, 3, 6, and 9 are larger in scale than the remaining digits. The minute track is comprised of raised silver-tone dots around the outer circumference. Each clock is fitted with three silver-tone hands including an hour, minute, and a thin sweeping seconds hand. Both dials are marked with the word QUARTZ printed vertically in capital letters to the right of the centre. The clocks are designed for wall mounting and operate via battery-powered quartz mechanisms.

Condition report:

The clocks appear to be in good cosmetic condition with no visible chips or cracks to the covers. There are minor surface reflections and light dust consistent with storage (photos 1 and 2). The hands on the two clocks show different times, suggesting they are currently untested and not synchronised. One clock shows a slight misalignment of the hands where the hour hand does not perfectly align with the hour marker (photo 3).
