Two contemporary tropical jungle design printed ceramic wall tiles. The tiles are constructed from large-format ceramic with a printed tropical mural design executed in a watercolour style. The decoration depicts dense exotic foliage, including monstera and banana leaves, alongside large orchid blossoms, a toucan, and a parrot, all rendered in a palette of muted greens, ochre, and soft coral tones. The reverse of the tiles features a ribbed bedding texture to assist with adhesion. An impressed mark is present on the reverse of one tile, consisting of the literal characters JBH or JFH, which does not spell a recognized maker name.
Condition report:
The tiles show minor edge wear and surface dust consistent with storage across the collection, as seen on the displayed faces and edges (photos 1, 2, and 3). One tile exhibits a substantial layer of adhesive residue across the centre of the ribbed reverse surface (photo 4). No major cracks or structural breaks are visible from the provided views.
