A collection of costume jewellery comprising a variety of vintage brooches, earrings, and contemporary accessories, presented in three assorted cases. The lot includes a statement necklace composed of polished tumbled purple stones, possibly amethyst, interspersed with white freshwater style pearls and small lilac and black faceted glass beads. This piece features a large silver-tone toggle clasp and multiple spider-themed charms set with clear glass rhinestones. The necklace is housed in a dark blue hardshell case featuring a gold-stamped circular logo on the silk lid lining containing the letters R and H. Also included is a mirrored glass jewellery chest with a two-compartment drawer containing several vintage gold-tone brooches, notably a maple leaf pin with an enameled banner reading CANADA, a circular openwork brooch featuring a ceremonial elephant with red and green enamel, and various foliate and floral sprays set with faux pearls. A red velvet casket box contains a further quantity of gold and silver-tone jewellery, including a pavé set rhinestone ribbon brooch and black beaded clip-on earrings.
Condition report:
The jewellery appears in good vintage condition overall. Minor surface wear and light tarnishing are visible on the base metal components of the gold-tone brooches (photo 4). The mirrored chest is intact with a crystalline handle showing no visible cracks. The blue presentation case shows light scuffing to the exterior edges (photo 2), and the red velvet box exhibits minor compression to the pile. No missing stones are immediately apparent from the overview images.
