A trio of graduated nesting side tables constructed with teak veneer tops and solid wooden frames. The set features a distinctive mid-century modern design characterised by bentwood-style curved supports in an X-frame configuration, connected by horizontal stretchers. The rectangular tops are finished in a rich teak veneer with rounded edges and a pronounced longitudinal grain. The underside of the smallest table bears a circular blue adhesive label which is printed in white with the words nathan furniture and the quality label in a smaller font below. A small white rectangular adhesive label reading C128W is also present on the underside of one table. The legs are tapered towards the feet and the frames are finished to match the teak veneer of the tops.
Condition report:
The tables are in good structural condition with stable joints throughout. The teak veneer tops show a consistent patina with some light surface scratches and minor signs of use consistent with age. There is minor surface wear and small areas of finish loss along the edges of the largest table (photo 5). The frames show minor scuffing and wear to the finish on the feet and lower stretchers from floor contact (photo 3). No significant chips, cracks, or structural defects are visible.
