Sold for: £5
A table lamp in the Victorian hurricane or oil lamp style, featuring a tiered pedestal base constructed from brass-toned metal. The central font supports a large, spherical white milk glass outer shade. The lot includes two clear glass chimneys of differing profiles; one is currently fitted within the milk glass shade, while the second is provided as a loose accessory. The metal base is designed with a stepped circular foot and a bulbous stem. No manufacturer marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the base or the glass components.
Condition report:
The brass-toned metal base exhibits significant tarnishing, surface oxidation, and wear to the finish across all surfaces (photo 1 and 2). The white milk glass shade appears intact with no visible cracks or chips, though it shows accumulated surface grime. The clear glass chimney fitted to the lamp shows clouding and internal residue (photo 1). The secondary loose chimney is intact but displays surface dust and minor internal clouding (photo 2).
