A trio of figurines comprising two glazed porcelain golfing figures and one unglazed composition figure. The lot includes a female golfer in a putting stance, dressed in a brown sweater and white skirt, and a male golfer mid-swing, wearing a grey sweater and white cap with a golf bag at his side. Both glazed pieces feature a blue printed mark on the underside consisting of a bell-flower device above the characters L L A D R O and the words HAND MADE IN SPAIN. The larger male figure also bears an incised 2 and further illegible characters on the base. The third figure is an unglazed, off-white sculpture of a man in traditional rustic attire, including a wide-brimmed hat and a satchel. This figure is mounted on a cobblestone style base and features a brown felt covering to the underside.
Condition report:
The male golfer figurine shows a visible break and subsequent repair to the shaft of the golf club (photo 1). The unglazed figure displays some surface grime and minor discolouration consistent with handling (photo 2). There are no other visible chips, cracks, or restorations to the glazed porcelain surfaces (photo 7).
