A framed art print depicting the work titled ‘The Policeman’s Daughter’ by Paula Rego. The composition features a seated female figure in profile, dressed in a sleeveless grey top and white trousers, engaged in polishing a tall black riding boot. A black cat is situated in the lower left foreground, casting a distinct shadow across the light-coloured floor. The interior setting is rendered in a modernist style with a palette of blues, greys, and whites, utilising flat planes of colour and sharp geometric lines. The print is housed behind glass within a contemporary silver-toned metal frame and a wide white mount. While no signature or edition number is visible through the glazing, the work is a documented composition by the artist. This lot comprises the framed print only.
Condition report:
The print appears to be in good overall condition with no visible signs of foxing, staining, or tearing to the paper (photo 1). The frame is structurally sound with minor surface abrasions consistent with light handling. There are significant reflections on the glass in the provided photographs which do not represent defects in the artwork itself (photo 2).
