A pair of two wicker armchairs featuring a continuous curved tub or barrel style back. The chairs are constructed in the Lloyd Loom style, comprising woven paper fiber over a wire and bentwood frame, finished in a metallic gold or bronze tone paint. The underside of each chair reveals a complex sprung seat base with multiple metal coil springs supported by horizontal metal bars. One chair retains a loose, padded seat cushion upholstered in a beige floral damask pattern. The cylindrical legs are finished with decorative woven wrapping at the tops. An ink stamp is present on the wooden frame of the underside, applied in black ink, featuring the characters MAR 96.

Condition report:

The metallic finish displays general wear and areas of loss, particularly evident around the feet and along the woven edges (photo 2). The upholstery on the single seat cushion is heavily worn, featuring a significant horizontal tear to the underside material and visible fraying at the seams (photo 4). General surface grime, dust, and cobwebs are present across the frames and internal spring systems (photo 3). Minor scuffs and small breaks in the woven fiber are visible, consistent with age and domestic use. One chair retains black rubber ferrules on the feet, while these are absent or different on the second chair (photo 3).
