A watercolour of a flint-walled parish church with a square tower is signed W.D.SHANN 89 in the lower-left corner. The collection also features a monochrome landscape watercolour of a wooded path with a horse-drawn cart. A large black and white engraving of a busy London street scene is titled ST. PAUL’S CATHEDRAL at the bottom right. A smaller hand-coloured engraving is titled ST. ALBANS and inscribed Drawn by J. Hassell & Engraved by J. Walker and Published by J. Stratford, 112 Holborn Hill, Dec. 29. 1804. The works are presented in a variety of frames, including modern light wood, dark-stained wood with foliate carving, traditional gilt wood, and black-and-gilt moldings.

Condition report:

The collection shows visible signs of age and wear across several pieces. Foxing and heavy brown spotting are evident on the paper support and mount of the St Paul\'s Cathedral engraving (photo 3). Similar discolouration and foxing are visible on the St Albans print (photo 2). The botanical print shows a slightly irregular or deckled edge to the paper support (photo 6). The landscape watercolour shows some light undulation to the paper (photo 4). The frames generally appear in good order, though the dark-stained wood frame shows some dust accumulation in the carved details (photo 7).
