A collection of yellow metal costume jewellery comprising two necklaces and three rings, presented in a black velvet lined wooden display tray. The group includes a yellow metal necklace with a flat snake-link chain featuring a floral-motif drop pendant set with a central orange-yellow stone and three trailing metal beads. A second fine-link yellow metal cable chain features an oval cream-coloured pearl style pendant topped with a small colorless accent stone. The rings comprise a yellow metal cocktail ring featuring a large oval blue gemstone, possibly a sapphire or spinel, surrounded by a halo of small colourless stones in a cluster setting, a yellow metal band set with two small colourless stones, and a plain band with a dark, weathered patina. No hallmarks, purity stamps, or maker’s marks are legible on any of the items.
Condition report:
The jewellery shows varying degrees of surface wear consistent with use. The dark-toned band displays significant surface oxidation and tarnish across its entire circumference (photo 2). The yellow metal cocktail ring shows minor surface scratching to the band and setting (photo 1). The pearl style pendant has a consistent lustre with no visible chips to the accent stone (photo 2). The floral pendant and associated snake-link chain appear in good decorative order with all trailing beads intact (photo 2). The wooden display tray shows minor scuffing to the exterior frame (photo 1).
