A collection of costume and pearl style jewellery comprising necklaces, a pair of cufflinks, and a small brooch. The group features three strands of white pearl style beads including a double-strand necklace with a circular floral-motif silver-tone clasp, a single strand with a rectangular filigree clasp, and a strand of baroque-shaped rice pearls. Included is a small white hinged case with an inner lid printed with the name Selene and the words GOLD PLATED. A black presentation box contains a pair of silver-tone metal cufflinks featuring a textured, stepped design. A larger white display box with a glass lid is marked with the printed name Claire Garrett and contains an assortment of beaded jewellery including turquoise-coloured seed bead necklaces, wooden bead strands, and pink barrel-shaped beads. Also present is a small tan fabric pouch printed with a crest and the text Jewelry William’s Best LA JOYERIA EDIFICIO PLAZA DE BOLIVAR CARTAGENA DE INDIAS COLOMBIA.
Condition report:
The items appear to be in good used condition overall. Some metal components, particularly the clasps and the cufflinks, show signs of surface oxidation and tarnish (photo 1). The interior of the black jewellery case for the single pearl strand is heavily stained with darkened marks to the lining (photo 2). The beadwork on the turquoise-coloured necklaces appears intact, though the strands are somewhat tangled within the display box (photo 3).
