This lot comprises an adjustable dressmaker mannequin, also known as a tailors dummy, featuring a multi-part split-torso design. The torso is covered in a light grey fabric over a segmented body, mounted upon a central black metal pole and a four-legged black plastic base with integrated wheels. The form is designed for independent adjustment of the neck, bust, waist, and hips through a series of integrated rotating dials. Two central adjustment dials on the bust and hip are finished with black plastic caps bearing a white logo consisting of a letter S over a letter D. The dials feature numerical increments for sizing in inches and centimetres, alongside lettered S, M, and L indicators. The central pole includes a manual height-adjustment mechanism. The four-legged base is finished in black plastic with textured surfaces on the feet.
Condition report:
The grey fabric torso covering shows light surface soiling and areas of minor fuzzing consistent with previous use (photo 1). The mechanical adjustment dials appear intact and functional. The central black metal pole shows minor surface wear to the finish from height adjustments. There are minor scuffs and surface marks visible on the plastic legs of the rolling base (photo 1).
