This lot comprises three contemporary functional seating and utility items: a swivel desk chair, a two-step stool, and a high stool. The swivel desk chair features a single-piece bent plywood seat and backrest finished in a vibrant red lacquer, with the backrest displaying a grid of nine circular cut-outs. It is mounted on a five-point star-shaped silver-toned metal base fitted with five black plastic casters. The two-step utility stool is constructed from a light-coloured hardwood, possibly beech, with a simple slab design and an oval hand-hold cut-out to the top step. The high stool features a thick rectangular natural wood seat, possibly oak or rubberwood, mounted on an off-white painted timber frame with square-tapered legs and a four-sided H-stretcher. This lot comprises the seating and utility items only.
Condition report:
The red swivel chair shows visible surface scratches and marks to the lacquer on the seat and backrest edges (photo 4). The metal base and casters exhibit dust and minor scuffing (photo 1). The two-step stool shows signs of regular use with several small indentations, dark spots, and minor surface staining across the wooden surfaces (photo 2). The high stool is in generally good condition, with minor scuffs and marks to the painted frame consistent with domestic use (photo 3).
