Sold for: £28
A three tier folding wooden shelving unit, constructed from softwood such as pine and finished in a distressed white paint. The unit features a hinged ladder frame design with three slatted shelves of graduated depths, designed to fold flat for ease of storage. The construction utilises simple butt joints secured with modern Philips head screws and round headed metal bolts, providing a versatile freestanding structure suitable for use as a garden étagère or indoor display stand. No maker’s marks, labels, or stamps are visible on the piece.
Condition report:
The unit shows significant wear to the white painted finish, with scuffing, scratches, and extensive areas of bare wood exposed throughout the frame and shelf slats (photo 1). The structural integrity remains sound with the folding mechanism operating as intended. Minor oxidation is visible to the metal hardware (photo 2).
