A collection of automotive accessories and electrical equipment including a precision spirit level by J. Rabone and Sons. The precision spirit level is constructed from a metal barrel with a knurled finish, mounted upon a weathered wooden base and housed in a fitted wooden storage box. The metal barrel is stamped with the manufacturer’s name J. Rabone and Sons and Made in England. The lot includes a SkyTronic DC to AC power inverter, model 651.530, designed to convert 12V DC input to 230V AC output with a 150W capacity, complete with a cigarette lighter plug. Also included is a portable battery charger housed in a red metal casing bearing the letters G F and a 6 Amp rating, accompanied by a set of heavy-duty jump leads with red and black insulated clamps in a black storage bag. The group is completed by a canvas bag containing various electrical components including a BG Electrical single outdoor switch, a classic power box, and white plastic cable glands.
Condition report:
The antique precision level shows surface oxidation and dust to the metal components, with heavy weathering, dirt, and surface splintering to the wooden base and box (photo 6). The SkyTronic inverter shows minor surface wear and dust (photo 1). The battery charger casing has significant paint wear, scratches, and surface rust (photo 1). The jump leads appear to be in good used condition within their bag. The electrical components in the canvas bag appear to be new in original packaging, though the outer boxes show shelf wear and crushing (photo 5).
