A collection of assorted lead fishing weights and sinkers, primarily intended for sea and shore angling. The group includes various torpedo and bomb style sinkers with integrated wire loops or swivel tops, several grip leads featuring four wire legs for anchoring in moving water, and a smaller selection of ball sinkers. One torpedo-shaped weight is impressed with the numeral 4, likely indicating its weight in ounces. The collection includes sinkers in a variety of sizes and shapes, some with residues of red paint and others featuring plastic components in green, blue, and white. A small clear plastic cylindrical container with a red screw-cap is also included in the lot.
Condition report:
The weights are in used condition and exhibit varying degrees of surface oxidation, appearing as a white powdery residue (photo 1). The metal surfaces show minor impacts, scratches, and typical dulling from use and storage (photo 2). The wire loops and legs on the grip leads show signs of surface rust and corrosion (photo 4). The plastic carrier bags used for storage show significant wear and are not considered part of the lot\'s value.
