A collection of seven round-profile baitcasting fishing reels and assorted knives. The group includes several reels marked with the Abu Garcia Ambassadeur name, featuring various finishes including silver, blue, green, and maroon. Notable examples include a reel marked “ambassadeur 6500C4” in blue and silver, and another marked “ambassadeur 6500-C3” in silver. One maroon reel features a circular red and white adhesive label reading “Abu Garcia” and a Swedish crest medallion on the side plate. The reels are fitted with a mix of yellow monofilament and black braided lines, with handles ranging from dual-paddle designs to a large black T-bar power grip.
The lot also contains three knives: a fixed-blade hunting knife with a light-coloured bone or stag style handle housed in a worn brown leather sheath, a fillet knife with a black textured rubber handle partially enclosed in a white card sheath, and a decorative knife with a clear resin handle moulded in the shape of a fish. Accompanying accessories include a package of “Grabber Toe Warmers,” a green card pack for “Coleman” lantern mantles, two cleaning brushes with pink and orange plastic backs, and a small plastic bag containing a yellow float.
Condition report:
The collection shows significant signs of field use throughout. The fishing reels exhibit surface scratches, finish wear, and visible oxidation and pitting to the chrome-plated frames and components (photos 1 and 2). The mechanical functionality of the reels has not been tested. The hunting knife sheath is heavily worn with darkened leather and surface abrasions (photo 1). The decorative fish-handled knife shows heavy surface rust and corrosion along the length of the blade (photo 3). The toe warmer and mantle packaging show creasing and shelf wear.
