A collection of vintage 1:32 scale electric slot car racing sets and accessories. The group comprises a Scalextric Road Racing set in its original illustrated box, featuring a black Lamborghini Diablo and a red Ferrari F40. A second large set is a Polistil Racing System (WRS) La Pista dei Campioni, which includes two Formula 1 style plastic-bodied cars: a blue vehicle with Elf sponsorship decals and a black vehicle in the John Player Special style. A third set is a Policar Dune Buggy circuit, containing textured off-road track sections, two hand controllers, a power pack, and one black car with red stripes. The collection further includes a boxed Scalextric Hump Back Bridge and a Scalextric Lap Counter (Model C177), alongside a quantity of loose Scalextric track sections including various curves and straights. The Policar set includes several small component boxes with printed labels reading Polistil and Pista Evolution.
Condition report:
The original cardboard boxes show significant age-related wear, including surface scuffing, crushed corners, and taped repairs to the Scalextric Road Racing box (photo 1). The interior polystyrene trays exhibit staining and some breakages (photo 5 and 7). Extensive surface oxidation and rust are visible on the metal rails of the track sections across all sets, most notably on the textured Policar track (photo 3). The Scalextric Road Racing set is missing the cars from the designated tray slots (photo 7). The Polistil Formula 1 cars show damage and losses to the aerodynamic wings and spoilers (photo 5). The bridge and lap counter boxes show shelf wear and creasing.
