A collection of decorative pottery and glass objects. The group features a large stoneware serving dish with a wide, unglazed terracotta rim and an oatmeal-glazed centre decorated with a shoal of six blue and brown stylised fish. The underside of the dish is impressed with two circular marks: one containing a vertical line intersected by a cross and the other containing a character resembling the number ‘2’, alongside a painted black mark resembling a bird’s foot. The lot includes a terracotta tripod vessel supported by two human figures with incised geometric details and a weathered, earthy finish. Also present is a trio of bird figurines, comprising a larger goose and two smaller ducks, made from a textured stone-like material with smooth beaks and black felted bases; each base carries a small gold oval adhesive label reading ‘MADE IN CHINA’. Completing the collection is a clear glass orb-shaped terrarium with a spout-like top and a wide side aperture, containing dried moss, soil, and organic matter.
Condition report:
The terracotta tripod vessel shows significant surface wear, mineral deposits, and visible chipping to the rim (photo 6 and 7). The stoneware dish has several small dark spots to the glaze in the centre (photo 3). The bird figurines show some losses to the black felt padding on the bases (photo 10). The glass terrarium contains loose dried material and soil (photo 2). All items exhibit a light covering of surface dust.
