A collection of beaded necklaces and costume jewellery items featuring various materials and styles. The assortment includes a graduated green stone bead necklace, possibly jadeite or jade, featuring round beads and a circular silver-tone metal clasp. Also included is a necklace of yellow beads, possibly amber or resin, and a multi-strand necklace composed of small red beads, possibly coral or glass. A further necklace comprises large translucent red oval beads separated by faceted spacer beads. The lot includes a clear chunky link-style bracelet, possibly acrylic or crystal, presented in a purple box. A circular brass-tone metal compact is present, featuring an engine-turned design with a central eight-pointed star motif. The items are accompanied by two light-wood hinged cases and a black leatherette hinged jewellery box. The black box interior features a white silk lid liner with gold lettering that reads Raffles Jewellers 355 Ashley Road Parkstone.
Condition report:
The collection appears in fair overall condition. The green stone necklace shows slight surface wear to the beads and tarnish to the metal clasp (photo 2). The yellow bead necklace appears intact but shows minor surface abrasions. The red multi-strand necklace has several loose or tangled strands evident (photo 1). The brass-tone compact exhibits surface scratching, wear to the gilding, and minor pitting consistent with use (photo 1). The purple bracelet box and clear bracelet appear in good order with no visible damage (photo 1). The wooden cases show light scuffing to the exterior surfaces.
