A pair of teak furniture pieces including one low chest of two drawers and one low sideboard. Both units feature a Mid-Century Modern style aesthetic, constructed with teak veneers and matching hardwood edge banding in a warm, honey-toned finish. The facade of each piece is decorated with a distinctive recessed grid or panelled design, which incorporates integrated finger pulls along the top edges of the drawer and door fronts. The chest of drawers features two wide, full-length drawers with interiors constructed from a lighter secondary hardwood. The sideboard comprises two cupboard doors opening to reveal a single internal wooden shelf, mounted on adjustable metal concealed hinges. Both pieces are supported by a recessed plinth base and finished with hardboard back panels. A blue rectangular adhesive label is present on one piece reading Parker Knoll in white and orange characters. The back panels bear various handwritten production markings including P, F and numerals, alongside a factory quality control checklist documenting sealer, colour, and lacquer stages. This lot comprises the furniture only; the lamp and other background items shown in the images are not included.
Condition report:
The cabinets appear in good, clean condition with a consistent high-sheen finish across the top surfaces. There is a small area of veneer loss and chipping to the top back edge of the hardboard backing on one unit (photo 5). A minor gap is visible between the cupboard doors on the sideboard unit (photo 6). The drawer and cabinet interiors show typical light signs of use but remain clean and functional (photos 4 and 8). The structural integrity appears sound with all components sitting flush.
