This auction ended on October 14, 2026.

Start price: £5

Estimated price: £5 - £10

Buyer's Premium: 20%

Sold for: £9

A mid-century dressing table stool featuring a woven fiber seat and apron, constructed using the Loom technique of twisted kraft paper woven over a wire core. The stool is built upon a painted wooden frame with four turned legs joined by an H-stretcher. The seat is designed with a slight concave curve for ergonomic comfort. The entire piece is finished in an off-white paint. A rectangular paper label is adhered to the underside of the frame, which reads LLOYD LOOM in capital letters on the top line, with a Trade Mark designation to the right. Below this, the word Lusty is printed in a script font within quotation marks, followed by the word product. The underside construction includes wooden corner blocks secured with screws.

Condition report:

The woven fiber seat and apron appear intact with no visible breaks or unraveling (photo 1). The off-white painted finish shows age-related wear, including minor scuffing and small areas of discoloration across the seat surface (photo 2). The wooden legs and stretchers exhibit more pronounced paint wear and thinning, particularly around the feet and joints (photo 3). The manufacturer\'s paper label is present and largely legible, though it shows some foxing and minor lifting at the edges (photo 4).
