A collection of classical music compact discs housed in several multi-disc ring binders and plastic storage crates. The group includes binders with decorative covers in tan, blue, green, and burgundy, featuring central geometric and scrollwork motifs. Each binder contains clear plastic sleeves holding both the compact discs and their original paper booklets and liner notes. The collection features a variety of reputable classical labels including Hyperion, Chandos, Naxos, Archiv Produktion, and BIS.
Visible titles include multiple volumes of Louis Moreau Gottschalk’s piano music performed by Philip Martin on the Hyperion label (CDA66697, CDA67118, CDA66459, CDA66915), Ferde Grofé’s Grand Canyon Suite and Walter Piston’s Chamber Music from the Naxos American Classics series, and various works on the Chandos label including Vivaldi Concerti for Strings and Handel at the Opera. Other notable inclusions are Sharon Isbin’s Dreams of a World and Vanessa-Mae’s The Violin Player. The discs are organized numerically within some sleeves, with printed numbers visible on the plastic pages.
Condition report:
The collection appears to be in good used condition. The outer storage binders show typical signs of shelf wear, including light scuffing to the covers and edges (photo 1). The internal plastic sleeves remain clear and functional. The compact discs appear well-maintained, though playing surfaces have not been individually inspected for minor scratches. The original paper booklets and inlays are present for the visible items and appear to be in good order without significant tearing or fading (photos 3-6).
