Two rugs comprising a Turkish style velveteen prayer mat and a natural sheepskin rug. The prayer mat features a cream ground with a central mihrab design containing a stylized vase with floral sprays. To the left is a vertical panel depicting a mosque with a minaret, domes, and palm trees, all enclosed within a scrolling floral and vine border in shades of teal blue and forest green. The mat is finished with green synthetic fringe at both ends. The second item is a natural sheepskin rug featuring a tanned hide with a long, curly ivory-coloured wool pile. A small white fabric tag is attached to the lower-right corner of the prayer mat; the characters on this tag are not legible. A small white adhesive label is attached to the centre of the sheepskin rug reading F-1333C.

Condition report:

The prayer mat shows visible wear consistent with use, with noticeable darkening and staining to the cream ground, particularly within the central mihrab area and along the lower edge (photos 1 and 2). The green fringes are intact but show some tangling at the ends. The sheepskin rug is in generally good condition, although the wool pile appears matted in the central section from use (photo 3). The reverse hide side appears intact where visible.
