This lot comprises a Toyota electric domestic sewing machine and two pieces of woven sewing storage furniture. The sewing machine is constructed with a cream coloured body featuring pink decorative square motifs and a red plastic stitch selection dial. The front of the machine is marked with the name TOYOTA in red capital letters and includes a printed stitch chart displaying twenty-one stitch options including straight, zigzag, and decorative patterns. It is accompanied by a black plastic foot pedal with a power cable fitted with a UK 3-pin plug and a detachable white plastic accessory tray containing a small plastic bag of tools. The storage furniture includes a rectangular wicker style sewing basket featuring a padded fabric lid with a floral rose and tan pattern, secured by a cord loop and toggle closure. Also included is a square sewing stool constructed from white painted wicker with a blue and silver patterned damask upholstered seat that opens to reveal an internal storage compartment.
Condition report:
The sewing machine shows light surface wear and minor scuffing to the cream casing consistent with domestic use (photo 2). The white wicker stool shows significant signs of age and wear, with multiple areas of loss to the white paint finish on the legs and body, and visible oxidation and surface rust to the metal hinges and front latch (photo 5). The floral sewing box shows light wear and fraying to the woven edges and cord closure (photo 4). Mechanical and electrical functionality has not been tested, and the machine is sold as seen.
