This auction ended on October 14, 2026.

Start price: £8

Estimated price: £8 - £20

Buyer's Premium: 20%

Sold for: £14

A weathered neoclassical style garden statue depicting a draped female figure, possibly a representation of Ceres or Flora. The figure is shown in a standing pose, wearing a traditional high-waisted robe with a shawl draped over her left shoulder and hair styled in a classical bun. The statue is fixed to an integrated circular pedestal base. The piece is constructed from reconstituted stone with a heavy, visible aggregate texture throughout. A small white adhesive label is present on the top of the head reading W1328H in blue ink. No manufacturer marks or signatures are visible on the figure or base.

Height: 32.5 inches (approximately 82.5 cm).

Condition report:

The statue exhibits significant surface weathering and darkening consistent with long-term outdoor exposure (photo 1). The material shows a pitted appearance where the cement matrix has worn away, exposing the larger stone aggregate across all surfaces (photo 3). Scattered patches of dark lichen and biological growth are present, particularly visible on the lower robes and the base (photo 4). The facial features have been softened by erosion (photo 2). The figure appears structurally sound with no visible major cracks or missing limbs.
