A large scale radio-controlled model of a Subaru Impreza WRC rally car featuring the blue and yellow livery of the Subaru World Rally Team. The model is constructed with a flexible blue polycarbonate body shell secured to a chassis featuring a central longitudinal aluminium plate and black plastic suspension components. The exterior is decorated with numerous decals including the names Burns and Reid alongside British flags, the number 5, and various sponsors such as Pirelli, Motul, Alcon, and Network Q. The vehicle features four-wheel independent suspension and is powered by a rear-mounted brushed electric motor with Tamiya-style power connectors. The accompanying two-channel radio transmitter features a printed label reading BYCMO 2CH RADIO CONTROL SYSTEM and a green sticker indicating a 27.195 MHz frequency. A white adhesive label on the reverse of the controller contains the text RANGER 2Z (27M), HiTec, and CE0681.
Condition report:
The car is in a used condition with significant signs of wear consistent with outdoor use. The polycarbonate body shell shows multiple scuffs, scratches, and impact marks, particularly visible around the front bumper and wheel arches (photos 1 and 2). Several decals are peeling or worn at the edges. The chassis underside and aluminium plate exhibit heavy scratching from ground contact (photo 3). The rubber tyres show visible tread wear and are coated in dust. The yellow foam front bumper appears aged and slightly compressed. The metal antenna on the radio transmitter is present but shows a slight bend (photo 1). The internal mechanics and radio functions are untested, and no battery or charger is present.
