A heavy contemporary table lamp featuring a spherical glass base and a pleated fabric shade. The lamp base is constructed from thick, clear glass with a decorative bark or ice texture, characterised by horizontal undulations and internal seed bubbles. The glass sits on an integrated circular pedestal foot and is topped with a polished chrome-finished disc and central stem. The lamp is paired with a white, tapered drum shade featuring vertical knife pleats. No maker’s marks, signatures, or etched backstamps are visible on the glass or metal fittings. The base is fitted with a black electrical cord featuring an in-line thumb switch. A small white rectangular adhesive label is attached to the glass base bearing the handwritten code R1332C.
Condition report:
The glass base appears to be in good condition with no visible chips or cracks to the textured surface (photo 2). The pleated fabric shade shows a small, faint yellowish stain on the front upper-middle section (photo 1). The electrical cord and plug are present, though the unit has not been PAT tested.
