This lot comprises an aluminium loft ladder assembly and a separate step ladder. The main loft ladder is a multi-section unit constructed from lightweight aluminium, designed for residential access. It includes a top-mounted handrail, a pivoting platform step, and a black nylon pull strap. A blue and white adhesive instructional label is applied to the lower rail, featuring numbered safety diagrams and text including “Instructions:”, “NEVER use damaged equipment and ensure that rungs are dirt and grease free.”, and “ALWAYS wear flat bottomed and firm soled shoes.”. A red “WARNING” label on the platform rail reads “THE SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS ON THE UNDERSIDE OF THE PLATFORM MUST ALWAYS BE FOLLOWED PRIOR TO USE”. The step ladder features D-shaped rungs and is of matching aluminium construction. A small white label on the rail is printed with “F1383C”.
Condition report:
Both ladder sections are in heavily used condition, exhibiting extensive paint splatters, drips, and splashes across the rungs and rails (photo 1). The aluminium surfaces show general surface scratching, oxidation, and ingrained dirt consistent with industrial or trade use (photo 2). The instructional labels show some peeling and surface wear but remain largely legible (photo 2). There is visible wear and paint residue on the pivoting platform and handrail components (photo 3). The black nylon strap appears intact but shows signs of use (photo 4).
