A collection of assorted collectible enamel lapel pins, badges, and small jewellery items, primarily featuring travel and commemorative themes from North America. The group includes several Canadian souvenirs such as a large loon-shaped pin marked Prince Edward Island, a Calgary Alberta floral pin, a bear-themed Banff pin, a Cabot Trail pin, and an RCMP New Brunswick badge. American travel destinations are represented by a large Colorado Native American profile pin, a Yellowstone National Park circular badge, a Kentucky Horse Park pin, and further examples from Montana, Wyoming, and the Grand Canyon.
The collection also features novelty and commemorative pieces, including two hot air balloon pins, one of which is marked Circus Circus Hotel, a Salem Witch Museum pin from Salem, Mass., and a silver-tone kilt pin in the form of a claymore sword with a circular Celtic-style hilt. A blue circular pin is marked TPSB and depicts an aircraft. Further items include four small Canadian flag pins, a Peel Division shield badge, and a lobster-shaped pin. The lot is accompanied by two red poppy Remembrance pins, one in a white presentation box and another on a blue card, as well as a small navy blue velvet-lined case containing a matching tie clip and lapel pin set with red circular emblems.
Condition report:
The collection appears to be in good vintage condition. Most enamel surfaces remain vibrant and intact across the assorted pins (photo 1). There is minor surface scratching and light oxidation visible on the reverse metal surfaces of several pins. The silver-tone sword pin shows light tarnishing to the metal (photo 2). The presentation boxes and card show minor shelf wear consistent with age (photo 1).
