A contemporary Italian bronze sculpture depicting a stylised nude female figure emerging from a cresting wave. The work is executed using the lost wax (cera persa) casting method, featuring a dual-tone finish that contrasts a polished bronze body with a heavily textured verdigris-patinated base representing water. The figure is posed with arms raised and hair flowing upwards, blending into the form of the wave. The base of the sculpture bears multiple marks including an oval foundry stamp reading MURTARTI CERA PERSA ITALY and a circular mark featuring a stylised emblem or monogram. The piece is a limited edition casting, incised to the lower rear with the edition number 209/500.
Condition report:
The sculpture is in good condition with no visible structural damage, fractures, or missing elements. The dual-tone patina is well-preserved, and the verdigris finish shows characteristic texture and colour variations consistent with the artist\'s intent. As shown in the final photograph, the sculpture stands approximately 26.7 cm tall.
