A collection of vintage and costume earrings, featuring sixteen pairs, a single ear cuff, and a transparent plastic presentation box. The assortment includes various drop and dangle styles with fishhook ear wire fittings, as well as several pairs of stud earrings. Materials featured across the group include abalone shell, molded lampwork glass, and stones possibly being lapis lazuli and moonstone. One pair of circular drop earrings featuring blue stones is marked 925 to the reverse of the settings, indicating they are made of sterling silver. The collection includes a pair of triangular abalone shell drops with iridescent purple and green hues, a pair of blue and white lampwork glass mushroom-shaped drops with white polka dots, and a pair of long drop earrings featuring stacked floral millefiori glass beads. Also present are two distinct pairs of openwork metal leaf-shaped drops and a pair of silver-toned foliate design drops accented with small blue stones.
Condition report:
The items are in used vintage condition. Visible surface oxidation and tarnish are present on many of the silver-toned components, particularly evident on the ear hooks and the reverse of the stone settings (photo 2, 3, and 5). Several ear wires show signs of slight bending consistent with wear (photo 2). The abalone shell components and glass lampwork beads appear intact without major chips or cracks visible in the photographs. One black ear cuff is present as a single item rather than a pair (photo 1). General surface wear and micro-scratching are visible throughout the collection.
