A collection of Commonwealth and global stamps housed within a green stock book and multiple plastic sleeves. The collection features a significant Malaysia section, including a definitive series depicting butterflies such as the 10c and 20c issues, alongside commemoratives for the 1974 Malaysian Jamboree and the 75th Anniversary of the Institute for Medical Research (IMR). The UK section includes Machin head definitives in various denominations and commemorative issues featuring a Waverley Class locomotive and County Cricket themes. Also included are loose stamps from Ceylon and Sri Lanka depicting local birds and scenery. The stamps are a mix of mint and used examples, many featuring circular date stamp (CDS) cancellations. The first page of the album bears a handwritten inscription in blue ink reading Peter Thorniley followed by a note stating DO NOT TOUCH STAMPS PLEASE UNLESS GIVEN PERMISSION BY PETER THORNILEY PLEASE.

Condition report:

The collection shows visible signs of age and wear. The album pages and protective tissue interleaving exhibit significant foxing, tanning, and brown staining throughout (photos 2 and 3). The stamps are stored in non-archival plastic sleeves which show creasing and surface wear (photo 1). Stamp condition is variable, with some examples showing off-centre perforations and varying cancellation clarity. The album covers show shelf wear and bumping to the corners.
