A set of five framed large-format maritime prints depicting historic racing yachts. The collection features monochrome images of notable vessels including Meteor (1903), Zinita (1893), Candida (1929), and Attempt (1893). Each print is presented on heavy paper with a double-line printed border and includes the vessel name and date in the lower margin. A printed signature reading Beken is visible in the corner of the prints, associated with the maritime photography archive of Beken of Cowes. The prints appear to be modern reproductions or offset lithographs. Each is housed in a dark wood frame with a standard fiberboard backing and hanging wire. A small white adhesive label reading C1337R is present on the glass of one frame.
Condition report:
The collection is in good overall condition with some signs of age and wear. The wooden frames show light scuffing and small chips to the edges and corners (photo 1). The paper of the prints exhibits slight yellowing and some minor foxing spots in the margins, notably visible on the Meteor print (photo 5). There is minor dust accumulation visible under the glass of several frames. The backings and hanging hardware appear secure and functional (photo 8).
