This lot comprises two multi-arm pendant chandeliers in contrasting decorative styles. The first is a five-arm Tiffany style chandelier featuring a patinated brass effect frame with scrolled arm supports. It is fitted with five leaded glass shades in a honeycomb or lattice arrangement, composed of cream-coloured opaque glass segments interspersed with dark brown or black rounded glass cabochons. Each arm terminates in a black plastic E27 screw bulb holder, and the modern PVC-insulated wiring is joined to a white plastic three-way connector block. The second item is a six-arm crystal chandelier constructed from cast metal with an ornate foliate and scroll motif. It features six pressed glass bobeches with scalloped edges and is adorned with various clear glass pendants in pear and drop shapes. This fixture is fitted with six E14 small screw bulb holders housed within white plastic candle-sleeves and is suspended by a chain. A small white adhesive label is present on the central stem of the five-arm fixture, but no maker’s marks or manufacturer signatures are visible on either piece.
Condition report:
The five-arm Tiffany style chandelier shows age-related patination and surface dust across the metalwork (photo 7). The leaded glass shades appear largely intact, though one shade displays a slightly different colour tone to the others (photo 1). The six-arm crystal chandelier exhibits significant surface grime and oxidation across the metal frame (photo 5). Several crystal droplets are detached from the frame and are lying loose (photo 4). The white plastic candle-sleeves show heavy yellowed discolouration (photo 6). The external white flex on the six-arm chandelier is frayed and heavily soiled near the top suspension loop (photo 5). All electrical components are sold as untested and require inspection or rewiring by a qualified professional.
