This lot comprises a collection of marine rigging and safety equipment, including an emergency boarding ladder and various lengths of heavy-gauge rope. The emergency ladder is contained within a white synthetic storage bag featuring a printed blue inscription that reads Emergency Ladder, OSCULATI, and an arrow pointing to the word OPEN. The assortment includes several lengths of three-strand twisted marine rope, possibly synthetic hemp, finished with various knots and loops. The rigging is equipped with hardware including a large stainless steel carabiner clip and a segment of galvanized chain. A weathered white cylindrical fender is also included within the group.
Condition report:
The items show signs of moderate to heavy use and exposure to outdoor elements. The white ladder storage bag is heavily soiled with dark marks and surface dirt (photo 4). All sections of the three-strand rope exhibit significant weathering, surface abrasion, and discolouration throughout, with some visible fraying at the ends (photo 1). The stainless steel carabiner shows surface scratches but remains free of significant corrosion (photo 2). The galvanized chain shows typical surface oxidation (photo 3). The white cylindrical fender is heavily marked and discoloured from use (photo 5).
