Sold for: £5
A pair of beech wood effect melamine faced bookcases, comprising one narrow upright unit and one low, wide unit. Both pieces are constructed from wood composite boards with a light beech grain effect laminate finish. The tall unit features one fixed central shelf and two additional shelf spaces, with pre-drilled pin holes in the upper section indicating an adjustable configuration. The low, wide unit contains two full-width adjustable shelves supported by metal or plastic shelf pins, with a multi-section hardboard back panel. A small white adhesive label is present on the upper left side of the narrow unit, reading C137R in handwritten characters. A small purple circular sticker is adhered to one shelf of the low bookcase. This lot comprises the bookcases only; the glass display cases and other surrounding items shown in the photographs are not included.
Condition report:
The bookcases show general signs of utility wear. Minor surface wear and small losses are visible to the laminate edges on both units (photo 1). There is visible scuffing and small nicks to the front edges of the shelves and frame on the low bookcase (photo 2). A small purple sticker residue is present on one shelf of the wider unit (photo 3). The back panel of the low bookcase shows slight bowing (photo 2). The units are otherwise in good functional condition.
