A large-format Royal Fleet Auxiliary (RFA) Blue Ensign. The flag is of multi-panel stitched construction, featuring a dark blue field with a Union Jack in the upper hoist canton. The fly is decorated with a large yellow fouled anchor, the official emblem of the civilian-crewed fleet that supports the Royal Navy. The flag is made from nautical textile panels joined with heavy-duty stitching. No maker’s marks, government broad arrow stamps, or dates are visible.
Condition report:
The ensign is in service-worn condition. There is prominent creasing and folding throughout the fabric. Minor fraying is visible along the fly edge, and there are several loose threads along the internal stitched seams. The colours remain distinct and the fabric appears sound.
