Buyer's Premium:

A pair of late 19th or early 20th-century dark blue jasperware mugs manufactured by the Staffordshire pottery Wedgwood. Each cylindrical vessel is crafted from stoneware with a characteristic matte cobalt blue exterior and a white-glazed interior. The exteriors are decorated in the sprigged technique with white relief motifs depicting neoclassical scenes, including figures in classical attire, putti, and stylized foliage. The mugs are fitted with silver-plated metal rims. The base of each piece is incised with the maker mark WEDGWOOD and various production characters including V, 4, 1, and 2. The metal rims are stamped with the mark for Elkington and Co Ltd.

Condition report:
