Buyer's Premium:

This collection consists of five hand-painted porcelain figurines from the M.I. Hummel range, manufactured by Goebel in West Germany. The lot includes the following models: ‘Happiness’ (Hummel 86), depicting a girl in a red polka dot dress playing a lute; ‘Let’s Sing’ (Hummel 110), featuring a boy playing an accordion with a small bird; ‘Sweet Music’ (Hummel 186), showing a boy in a green jacket playing a cello; ‘Soloist’ (Hummel 135), featuring a boy with a flute and a bird at his feet; and ‘Serenade’ (Hummel 85), depicting a boy in lederhosen playing a horn. Each figurine features a blue stamped factory mark on the underside consisting of a large stylized ‘V’ with a bee, positioned above the words Goebel and W. Germany. This mark, known as TMK-5 or The Last Bee, indicates a production date between 1972 and 1979. The bases are further marked with incised model numbers, and the Let’s Sing figure includes an incised date of 1938. Several items retain their original printed paper identification labels on the sides of the bases.

Condition report:

The figurines are in good overall condition with no visible chips, cracks, or evidence of professional repair. There is minor shelf-wear to the unglazed foot-rims. The paper identification labels exhibit some age-related yellowing and minor lifting at the edges, particularly on the Let\'s Sing figure. Light crazing to the glaze may be present upon close inspection, which is typical for figurines of this period.
