A 9ct yellow gold cluster dress ring, featuring a central round-cut clear stone, likely a diamond, claw-set and surrounded by four dark blue oval-cut stones, likely sapphires, in a floral-style configuration. The setting is mounted on an ornate, openwork shank consisting of circular links with a radiating sunburst or gear-like texture. The interior of the band is stamped with British hallmarks including the 375 fineness mark for 9ct gold and the anchor mark for the Birmingham Assay Office. Additional maker’s marks and date letters are present but too worn to be clearly identified.
