A Trio of Vintage Nautical and Aeronautical Compasses including a Heath and Co. Marine Gimbal Compass
Condition report:
All three items are in a heavily weathered, as-found condition. The damping fluid in each unit has been lost or has evaporated, resulting in significant internal sediment and debris that obscures the compass cards. The metal components show heavy oxidation, corrosion, and wear to the original black finishes. The glass on the sighting compass is notably scratched and clouded. These instruments are sold as non-functional historical artefacts suitable for restoration or decorative display.
