Buyer's Premium:

A compiled collection of commemorative medallions and lapel badges, predominantly of British origin, dating from the late 19th century to the mid-20th century. The collection features a significant variety of royal commemorative items, including Queen Victoria 1897 Diamond Jubilee medals, Edward VII 1902 Coronation medallions in white metal and bronze, and George V and Queen Mary 1911 Coronation and 1935 Silver Jubilee commemoratives. A specific medallion commemorating the 1947 South Africa tour of George VI and Queen Elizabeth is present, as well as 1953 Coronation souvenirs for Elizabeth II, one of which remains attached to its original printed card backing.

The lot also contains an assortment of enamel and metal lapel badges. Visible examples include a yellow enamel shield marked PREFECT, a green rectangular badge for the GLOUCESTER SEVERN TENTH SPECIAL OLYMPICS, and a ROUNDERS club badge. Other notable pins include a black bar badge marked FOUNDER, a red and gold enamel badge marked MUD, and various pins featuring crowns or heraldic devices. Many of these items are housed in individual plastic protective sleeves and bear handwritten reference numbers. Construction materials include white metal alloys, bronze-toned base metal, gilt-metal, and enamel.

Condition report:

The collection is in generally fair to good condition. Several white metal medallions exhibit surface oxidation and tarnish. Ribbons on the souvenir medals show fraying and discolouration consistent with age. Enamel on the lapel badges appears largely intact, though some examples show minor surface scratching.
