This lot comprises a comprehensive collection of media featuring the classic BBC television sitcom Dad’s Army. The collection includes 27 DVDs housed in original plastic cases. The design of the DVD case spines is such that when they are placed in numerical order from 1 to 27, they form a continuous composite colour portrait of the show’s main characters, including Captain Mainwaring, Sergeant Wilson, and Lance Corporal Jones. The BBC logo is visible at the top of each spine, and the words DAD’S ARMY are printed vertically across the spines of volumes 9 through 17. Also included is a quantity of corresponding magazines and editorial booklets which provide episode guides, cast profiles, and historical context. The top booklet is titled Introducing the collection… and features a group cast photograph with a circular seal on the cover stating Digitally Remastered Discs.
Condition report:
The collection is in good, pre-owned condition. The DVD cases exhibit minor shelf wear and light surface scuffing to the plastic consistent with age. The accompanying magazines show typical signs of being stacked, with some minor edge wear and light creasing. The discs have not been tested for playback.
