A varied group of storage and decorative boxes featuring a Victorian work box in rosewood with mother-of-pearl floral and scrollwork inlay to the lid and fascia, featuring a white metal key and escutcheon. The collection also contains a rectangular brass-bound campaign-style wooden chest with inset brass corner brackets and a central diamond-shaped brass plaque. The items display varied levels of wear consistent with age and use. The rosewood box shows light surface scratches and minor finish loss. The campaign-style chest has heavy white surface residue, scuffing to the timber, and oxidation to the brass elements. The painted box shows minor chips to the paintwork. The leather box has worn edges and surface rubbing. Other wooden boxes show general nicks, abrasions, and signs of use throughout.
