A collection of late 20th-century glass wall light shades comprising various designs and decorative glass techniques. Included are semi-circular shades of slumped or moulded glass with a pink and white marbled finish, fitted with brass-tone metal clips. The collection also features tapered triangular shades of leaded glass construction, with panels of both iridescent pearlescent glass and blue and white marbled opalescent glass. Additionally, there is a fan-shaped wall light shade in the Art Deco style with a stepped leaded glass arrangement. No maker’s marks or signatures are visible.
Condition report:
The items exhibit age-related wear, including oxidation to the lead cames and tarnish to the metal mounting clips. One of the iridescent triangular shades is heavily damaged with multiple cracked and missing glass panels. The other shades appear to be in generally good condition, although minor hairline cracks may be present in the leaded sections.
