A two-piece lot of Jacobean Revival style furniture in the style of Wood Bros Old Charm, comprising a kneehole dressing table with a detachable swing mirror and a matching small bedside cupboard. The pieces are constructed from oak with a dark stained finish. The dressing table features a central drawer with a shallow arcaded frieze above a kneehole, flanked by pedestal cupboards with doors decorated with carved pointed-arch panels. The mirror is set within an arched frame with a scalloped inner border, supported by turned baluster uprights with finials. The matching bedside cupboard consists of an open upper shelf over a single door with corresponding pointed-arch carving. Hardware throughout includes brass ring-drop handles and decorative external H-hinges. The design and decorative motifs are characteristic of mid-20th century British production.
Condition report:
Both pieces are in generally good structural condition. The dark stained finish shows typical signs of age-related wear, including light surface scratches, rubbing to the edges, and some minor scuffs. There is an accumulation of dust within the carved decorative elements.
