A pair of large circular garden planters of tapering form, constructed from reconstituted stone. Each vessel features a substantial, rounded overhanging rim above a body decorated in relief with a repeating neoclassical motif of foliate swags suspended from ribbon-tied bows. The planters possess a porous, textured surface characteristic of cast stone. No maker marks or inscriptions are present on the interior or exterior surfaces.
Condition report:
Both planters are in a heavily weathered condition, exhibiting an established natural patina with significant moss and lichen growth, particularly concentrated around the rims and relief decoration. There are minor chips, surface abrasions, and general wear to the rims and bases consistent with age and prolonged outdoor exposure. Residual soil is present in the interior of both vessels. No structural cracks are visible.
