A weathered garden urn of circular form, constructed from reconstituted stone. The urn features a classical design with a gadrooned lower body and a wide rim decorated with a double-moulded edge and a central cable or rope-twist band. The urn is supported by short, integrated, spreading circular pedestal base with simple moulded detailing. The interior is cast with a central drainage hole. No maker’s marks or signatures are visible. These ornaments are characteristic of mid-to-late 20th-century British garden production.
Condition report:
The urn is in a heavily weathered condition consistent with long-term outdoor display. There is a well-developed natural patina across all surfaces, including areas of moss and lichen growth, particularly around the rim and interior. General surface pitting, staining, and minor edge wear are present, commensurate with age and use.
