A heavy cast iron doorstop is present, fashioned as a hedgehog on a grassy base with the incised and painted legend The Hedgehog. Included is a vintage brass garden tap featuring a handle cast in the form of a duck. The collection further comprises a black spherical novelty ornament painted with the word BOMB in white lettering. Natural history specimens include two large sea shells, appearing to be King Helmet (Cassis) shells, and a specimen of brain coral.
Condition report:
Items show varying states of wear consistent with age and use. The resin seagull has light surface marks. The hedgehog doorstop exhibits significant paint loss and surface rust to the cast iron. The brass tap has a heavy, dark patina with areas of verdigris and oxidation. The bomb ornament shows minor surface abrasions. The shells and coral specimen remain generally sound with some natural edge wear and accumulated dust.
